What can security organizations to about disinformation? And what shouldn't they do?

The PREVENT team published an article about measures that organizations can take to combat disinformation. The authors reflect on the technical, ethical, and legal aspects of dealing with disinformation in a pluarlistic democracy. It is important that neither disinformation nor measures against it harm democracy, for instannce, by limiting free speech.

The project PREVENT aims to develop training material for security organizations to enable them to deal with disinformation on social media. The project team consists of members from the University of Bamberg, University Potsdam, University of Cologne, and The International Center for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities.
