You can enter the program both in the winter semester (teaching period mid-October until early February, exam period February/March) and in the summer semester (teaching period mid-April until late July, exam period July/August).

  • For enrolment in the Master's program Strategy & Sustainability (SAS), an application is required.
  • Admission to the Master's program SAS is granted to holders of a bachelor degree or an equivalent domestic or foreign degree with an overall grade of at least "good" (German grade of 2.5 or better).
  • The degree must include at least 80 ECTS credits in business administration, 6 ECTS credits in economics, and 6 ECTS credits in statistical methods.
  • The degree must be in an economically- / management-oriented subject area (e.g., German degrees such as Wirtschaftswissenschaften, BWL, Internationale BWL, International Management, Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen, Wirtschaftsinformatik, etc. or their international equivalents).
  • In addition, you need to successfully complete the so-called aptitude test. The test has been successfully completed with a final grade of 2.5 or better. The final grade can be upgraded by professional experience, an internship or special qualifications.

Required language skills:

  • English language skills at the B2 level must be demonstrated. The requirement is fulfilled by achieving one of the following standardized test scores:
    • IELTS: >6.5
    • TOEFL: >90
    • telc B2: oral >135 and written >45
  • German language skills at the A2 level must be demonstrated. The requirement is fulfilled by achieving one of the following certificates. Unfortunately, a “Medium of Instruction” certificate is not accepted:
    • Goethe-Zertifikat A2
    • telc Deutsch A2
    • ?SD Zertifikat A2

Please note: The proof of language proficiency is required at the time of application.


Before you apply, consider that:

  • The M.Sc. programme SAS is a management programme. Therefore, prior knowledge especially in the fields of management, statistics/econometrics and mathematics is recommended.
  • The M.Sc. programme SAS is an English language programme. The entire program can be completed exclusively by following courses (modules) in English. Some courses in the elective areas may be offered in German, but there is no obligation to select any German language module offers.
  • Admission to the aptitude test requires that all documents, with the exception of the Bachelor's degree certificate, are submitted in full by the application deadline. The Bachelor's certificate can be submitted within the first Master's semester. If missing documents are not submitted on time, the study program cannot be continued!
