Studying part time
If you plan to study your major subject part time, this is compatible with a minor in European Ethnology.
Studying part time offers students with children, part-time jobs, disabilities or chronic illnesses in particular the opportunity to reduce their workload during the semester and, as a result, extend the duration of their studies.
The duration of the bachelor’s degree programme is extended from six semesters to 12 semesters when studied part time.
You can enrol in a part-time study programme without providing a reason for doing so. It is also possible to switch from a full-time to a part-time programme during any semester’s enrolment period. This reduces the workload in each semester by half.
Part-time studies are subject to the regulations on part-time studies (in German).
