Our German as a Foreign Language course offering is intended for exchange students who are staying in Bamberg for a semester or two, as well as for foreign students enrolled at the University of Bamberg full time.

Beginners can take language courses, and beginning at the B1 level, we offer intensive courses focused on particular skill sets such as grammar, phonetics, academic writing etc. Students can expand and use their acquired language skills in the German as a Foreign Language Theatre Workshop.

Additionally, the Language Centre offers culture courses which explore the distinctive cultural characteristics of both Germany and the city of Bamberg.

The Language Centre also offers courses in business German for non-native speakers studying in the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Business Administration.
