Short bio
Stefanie Ulschmid is a research associate at the Chair of Information Systems and Platform Economy since July 2024. Previously, she studied Business Administration at the University of Regensburg (B.Sc., Value Chain Management) and at the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg (M.Sc., Strategy, Organization and Organizational Behaviour). During this time, she gained valuable international practical and academic experience through stays abroad in France, Italy and the Netherlands. She also gained hands-on experience in consulting, for example in the cloud and digital sector at PwC Germany. After completing her bachelor's degree, she worked as a project purchaser at Zollner Elektronik AG, a leading European EMS service provider.
In her research, she addresses the increasing use of various digital platforms in organizations. Particularly, she focuses on the implications of the use of these platforms for the work environment and how the actors involved deal with the associated changes.
As part of university teaching, she currently supports the Master's seminar and the modules Managing Digital Platforms (Master) and Digital Business (Bachelor). She also supervises students' seminar papers and theses.
