Prof. Dr. Daniel Beimborn

Lehrstuhlleitung

Daniel Beimborn ist Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Wirtschaftsinformatik, insb. Informationssystemmanagement, und Studiendekan der Fakult?t für Wirtschaftsinformatik und Angewandte Informatik. Au?erdem ist er Visiting Professor an der Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, wo er von 2014-2018 eine regul?re Professur innehatte.

Herr Beimborn studierte und promovierte an der Goethe-Universit?t in Frankfurt, bevor er von 2007-2013 als PostDoc und Habilitand an der Otto-Friedrich-Universit?t Bamberg t?tig war. Er war Gastforscher bei Microsoft in Redmond (2004), an der Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge (2006 und 2007), an der Georgia State University in Atlanta (2010-2011) und am MIT (2018).

Seine aktuellen Forschungsaktivit?ten umfassen das Management von Outsourcing- und Nearshoring-Beziehungen, Digitale Innovation & Transformation, IT Governance und Business/IT Alignment, Standardisierung von Gesch?ftsprozessen, BPO und Shared Services in der Finanzindustrie sowie die Bedeutung von IT zur Unterstützung von Innovationsprozessen. Er hat zahlreiche Artikel in einschl?gigen IS-Journals (MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of IT u.a.) ver?ffentlicht und ist Senior Editor der DATA BASE for Advances in Information Systems sowie Associate Editor des Journals Business & Information Systems Engineering.

Prof. Beimborn unterrichtet verschiedene Module im Kontext Wirtschaftsinformatik, IT-Management und Digital Management in den Bachelor- und Master-Programmen der Fakult?t WIAI. Er ist zudem Vertrauensdozent der Bayerischen Eliteakademie.
